AboutMe

Welcome to iPhoneFanboy.com.  My name is Kevin Blakeley and I started this blog in May of 2009 to help keep up with my obsession about the iPhone.  After all, isn’t that the real definition of a fanboy?  At least according to Wikipedia it is:

“Fanboy is a term used to describe any individual who is devoted to a single subject in an emotional or fanatical manner, or to a single point of view within that subject, often to the point where it is considered an obsession.”

I got my first iPhone in January of 2009, but not without some internal struggles.  I fought the temptation for quite some time, primarily because I did not want to pay for the data plan.  I actually bought a different phone first, but after a few months of buyers remorse and a nice little recall on the phone I purchased, I was able to trade up to the iPhone.  I considered the recall the sign I needed that I was destined to own an iPhone.

Since getting my iPhone, I started getting obsessed with learning as much about the iPhone as I could.  I also felt that I could contribute to the iPhone community by providing unbiased opinions about apps in the AppStore, review accessories, and just ramble on about the iPhone, which is why I created iPhoneFanboy.com. If you have an accessory and an app that you would like for me to review, use my contact page to get a hold of me.  I can’t guarantee that I will review it, but if I get enough requests for a specific app or accessory, then I will make it a higher priority to review it.
